The Maui Half Marathon course will please the most discriminating runner! The half's flat out-and-back course will feature all the beauty of the full marathon's final miles as well as its festive finish line finale.
Another beauty, over 50% of the half marathon's course is within view of the cobalt blue Pacific Ocean. Walker friendly with great aid stations and all finishers receive a whale of finisher's medal! Half Marathon Course Support It is anticipated that it will be in the high 60's to low 70's for the half marathon start at 5:30am. Regardless of your pace, it will reach the mid 70's by 7:30am, depending on the tradewinds. There are a total of 10 aid stations on the course offering water and Gatorade. Aid stations are located at miles 1.7, 3.5, 5.4, 6.1, 7.8, 8.7, 9.6, 10.6, 11.5 and 12.7. All aid stations will offer water and Gatorade. Restroom facilities are located at several ocean front parks beginning at the halfway point however there are also ample portables located at the Start, at all of the aid stations, and at the Finish. The course is marked with mile markers at every mile and the halfway (turnaround) point . Medical Assistance is available at the Start, turnaround and at Finish Line Medical Tent. If people are sick on the course, any aid station will have phone contact with medical assistance. Timing mats are located at the turnaround point as well as the finish line. There is no timing mat at the start line. |
