Inaugural Maui Half Marathon Course - Half the Distance, All the Fun!
13.1-Mile Race To Be Held on Sunday, September 19, 2004
Brought to you by popular demand, the Inaugural Maui Half Marathon course will please the most discriminating runner! The half's flat out-and-back course will feature all the beauty of the full marathon's final miles as well as its festive finish line finale.
Held concurrently with the full marathon, the half marathon will conveniently start at the marathon's finish line area near Whalers Village within the Kaanapali Resort. After a magical 5:30 a.m. start, participants will follow the marathon's final 6.5 miles through Lahaina, a historic whaling village, to the turnaround point on coastal Hwy 30.
Another beauty, over 60% of the half marathon's course is within view of the cobalt blue Pacific Ocean. Walker friendly, the half marathon has a four-hour time limit and all finishers receive a whale of a finisher's medal! The inaugural race is limited to 1,000 participants and is expected to sell out in advance.
The Maui Half Marathon entry fee is only $40 if registered by May 31, 2004 and $50 thereafter if not sold out. Enter the race here.

It is never to early to plan for a marathon or a half marathon, even if the event is nine months away. This is especially true if the event is your first marathon or half marathon.
