Aloha and Thank You to those who helped make
the 37Th Annual Maui Marathon, 4Th Maui Half
Marathon
and Maui Tacos 5K a success.
I personally am pleased with the outcome
of this year's event, under the direction of
race director Bill Burke, and his team, co-
race director Steve Foster, and the return of
Rudy Huber, the aid station coordinator.
It may seem like an easy thing to do, I'm
glad that most people do not see the behind
the scenes action
going on. It takes a lot of planning, lots
of emails and cooperation from each other to
get the job done.
This year was especially challenging with
the VIRR board of directors getting hands-on
experience to help produce such a big event.
The Maui Marathon has grown tremendously
over the past 12 years. With that growth
means there are more details to go over, and
over and
over again.
We could not have done it without the hard
work of the volunteers and non-profit
beneficiaries.
